Christmas gifts sought for needy teens

BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK (Press & Sun-Bulletin) - Each year, Catholic Charities collects donations for the Christmas Giving Program for Teens. The program concentrates on Broome County teens ages 13 to 18 and their families. The charity has 600 teenagers on the list for this season and a waiting list.

Gift cards in $10 or $15 increments from Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target or other stores; family board games; handheld electronic games; CDs; hoodies, fleece vests and pajama pants; and sports equipment are among the most requested gifts.

Donations may be delivered to the Binghamton food pantry at 100 Main St. Call Marsha Maroney at 729-9166 ext. 349 to make a monetary donation to the program or donate online at www.catholiccharitiesbc.org.
