WILTSHIRE, U K (Animal Friends Pet Insurance) - The Blue Cross has declared the recent opening of its newest charity shop a success, ethical insurance customers may be pleased to hear.

Of course, those with an interest in meteorology might have been present at the event in Marlborough on Saturday (August 21st) in the hopes of meeting BBC weatherman Richard Angwin, who was present.

The Points West precipitation expert was there to officially declare the store open.

Shop manager Sharon Hunting said she was thrilled at the turnout, which raised some £400 to go towards pet health care supplies for the organisation's needy and rescued animals.

"We are so grateful to Richard for taking the time out to join us and we were glad it didn't rain cats and dogs on the day," she added.

Previously, Ms Hunting had appealed to local animal lovers to consider rooting through their homes for any unwanted clothes, CDs, bric-a-brac and books, as the facility is in need of stock to sell to fellow supporters.

Animal Friends Insurance Services are an ethical pet insurance company. We have been supporting animal welfare charities around the world since 1999 by donating all net profits to their causes.
