Maryland Food Bank
BALTIMORE (WJZ) - WJZ and the Baltimore Orioles are teaming up to feed the hungry and we need your help. During this weekend's home stand against the Boston Red Sox, take non-perishable food items to Camden Yards for the Orioles Food Drive benefitting the Maryland Food Bank. The Orioles are partnering with WJZ-TV, MASN and Von Paris to host the annual Food drive from Friday July 31 to Sunday August 2 as the Orioles take on the Boston Red Sox.
The Orioles' wives, WJZ-TV and MASN will be at each entrance gate to Camden Yards on all three days beginning when gates open and will continue collecting until the second inning. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at noon on Sunday.
Fans can bring any non-perishable food items or cash donations. At last year's food drive, fans donated over 5,200 pounds of food and over $30,000 to help those less fortunate in the community.
