DES MOINES, IOWA (WHO-TV) - People stuffed themselves full of pancakes Saturday for a good cause.
Eggs, thousands of pounds of sausage and hundreds of boxes of pancake batter were all mixed together for the masses.
The 31st annual "Pancake Breakfast" was held Saturday morning in Comanche, Iowa. The Comanche Fire Department holds the breakfast every year with proceeds from the event going directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
One firefighter says, "Firefighters have always pitched in to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy and this is our 31st year for the breakfast and it seems to be off to a really great start."
The fire chief says that between the pancake breakfast and two other events throughout the year., they will raise about $15,000 for MDA.
