Guide Dogs for the Blind

GUILDFORD, U K (Eagle Radio) - After the Queen appeared to parachute into the Olympic Stadium on Friday, we have news of a pensioner who is really doing the stunt.

An 84-year-old great-grandmother from Bookham is throwing herself out of a plane today.

It is all in the name of charity Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Adventurous Joy Stone is partially sighted and relies on her Golden Retriever Lomax to get around: "My husband died 12 years ago.

"When he died I just thought 'well that's it'.

"Then my eyesight started to go and I needed help.

"I got Lomax and it has been wonderful, like having somebody else in my house."

The charity needs £100 every minute to survive.
