Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (WZZM) - Friday's storms didn't hold some golfers back from hitting the green...for charity.

Deer Run Golf Club hosted more than 100 people Friday to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan.

The group's goal is to raise enough money to add a regional room at the Ronald McDonald House. While it raised over $5,000 last year, this year topped it with $10,000.

The golf outing is part of the West Michigan Marketing Association's annual fundraiser, this year being the 51st.

Among those in attendance were WZZM 13's Juliet Dragos and Phil Dawson. Phil was able to capture some video out on the course with his iPhone. Juliet also served as the M.C. for the day's events.
