Children with Cancer
RIPLEY, U K (Ripley Today) - A charity race night at a Kimberley pub made nearly £400 for Children with Cancer.
Local runner Damon Byrne has raised £1,200 in sponsorship for the charity ahead of running the Paris marathon later this month, and the landlord of the Golden Guinea held a race night to add to his total.
Landlord Derek Johnson handed Damon the cheque this week.
Mr Johnson wants to thank the people who provided everything for the race night, and also Simlas indian restaurant for providing the food.
There will be a fun day on Bank Holiday Monday at the pub, where more will be raised for the charity.
There will be games for the kids including an Eater egg hunt as well as various stalls and entertainment.
