Chloes Chemoo Cows

IRVINE, U K (Irvine Herald) - Pupils at St Lukes Primary in Kilwinning have raised a staggering £4265 for a charity set up in memory of an Irvine school girl.

During Lent the pupils organised various fundraising events and collected over £4000.

On Thursday the money was given to the charity, Chloes Chemoo Cows in memory of Chloe McNeil.

Chloe lost her life aged just 11 years old after being diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare brain tumour affecting only 35 children a year in the UK.

Her parents Mark and Elaine set up Chloes Chemoo Cows, offering every child who attends Yorkhill Childrens Hospital for treatment a special box containing a cuddly toy, art materials and a bookmark to boost their spirits.

And the money raised by St Lukes pupils will go towards that.
