TORONTO, CANADA (Starzlife) - Avril Lavigne was on hand to bag goods at a store in her home town of Toronto on Tuesday to raise money for the Special Olympics and Easter Seals.
Safeway stores have launched a fundraising campaign for the Special Olympics and Easter Seals, with the goal of helping to enhance the quality of life for disabled Canadians.
Avril showed up at the local Safeway store on Tuesday to help pack bags in an effort to raise awareness of the initiative. She wrote to her followers on Twitter: “Just bagged groceries with Safeway to support their people with disabilities campaign with Easter Seals! I got a medal today!”
