HOUSTON, TEXAS (Your Houston News) - Bosa Donuts, located at 3117 Center Street in Deer Park, will host a fundraiser on April 14 for the new SNAP clinic, a spay-neuter and animal wellness clinic that is planned to arrive in Pasadena to serve all of southeast Harris County.

Big Bosa donuts and t-shirts will be for sale. The event runs from 7 to 11 a.m. that Saturday.

Seed funding for this project is coming in part from a $140,000 equipment grant from PetSmart Charities. The City of Pasadena is also granting SNAP a ten-year lease on city-owned retail space at just $10 per year and making needed improvements to the building.

An an additional $235,000 is required before the clinic can become a reality.

Eight shelters in the southeast Harris County area have already pledged to use the clinic, including those in Pasadena, Deer Park, Baytown, LaPorte, South Houston, Jacinto City, Nassau Bay, and Seabrook. The clinic would also provide an affordable solution for residents who want to have their animals spayed or neutered but cannot afford the procedure at a full-service veterinary clinic.
