Scarlett Heart Foundation
CAMDENTON, MISSOURI (Lakenewsonline.com) - Lake Ozark Fire Protection District firefighters once again won the 2nd annual Guns and Hoses charity basketball game against the Lake Ozark Police Department.
The final score was 69 to 28.
The night aslo included a raffle and silent auction, all of which helped the two departments raise money for charities of their choice. Proceeds from the night will be split 50-50 between the two departments. Last year at the first Guns and Hoses game, more than $3,000 was raised.
The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District's charity of choice is the annual Shop with a Fireman program the department particpates in. Shop with a Fireman partners a firefighter and local child in need to head to the store to shop for Christmas presents for the child and the child's family.
The police department will split its earnings between Citizens Against Domestic Violence/Victim Outreach Center (CADV/VOC) and the Scarlett Heart Foundation. The Scarlett Heart Foundation is a charity established to assist with the medical and specialty needs of children of first responders.
