STAFFORDSHIRE, U K (This is Staffordshire) - Pop star Mikey Graham has been unveiled as the latest celebrity ambassador for a Potteries-based charity.
The 39-year-old, best known as a member of chart-toppers Boyzone, has taken on an ambassador role with Caudwell Children.
In 2011, Mikey hosted a golf event for the charity, inviting celebrities to Loch Lomond in Scotland for two days of fund-raising.
In taking up the role, Mikey has followed in the footsteps of his late bandmate Stephen Gately, who was an ambassador for the charity until his death in 2009.
Mikey said: "Continuing Stephen's work makes it even more important to me."
The charity's chief executive Trudi Beswick added: "He's committed to helping where and when he can. We are delighted to welcome him as an ambassador."
