PETERSFIELD, U K (Petersfield Today) - Walkers of all ages pulled on their hiking boots for an annual charity event at Liss Forest.
Local resident Gill Elmer, who has organised a charity walk every March for several years said she was delighted with the turnout.
And generous sponsors meant that around £750 was raised for The Rosemary Foundation, the organisation that provides home nursing care for people suffering from life threatening conditions.
Gill paid special tribute to the youngest participants.
“Sophie and Millie, who are both three years old, were the youngest, and Ella and Molly, who are five, ran most of the way.
“Harvey (11), Gregory (nine) and Alex (ten) completed the full 7.3 miles from Liss Forest to the Deers Hut – a wonderful achievement.”
She added: “It was a lovely walk, with the sun coming out as we sat enjoying refreshments before the return journey.
“A big thank you to all who walked and those who donated money for this worthy cause.”
