HARROW, U K (Harrow Times) - A famous opera singer is visiting a centre for people with spinal injuries at the weekend.
Paul Potts, who won Britain’s Got Talent in 2007, will be visiting the Aspire Centre in Stanmore on Saturday.
Mr Potts is the patron of the Treat Trust, a charity based in South Wales which helps disabled people. The trust is hoping to build a similar rehabilitation centre in Swansea.
Mr Potts, who became famous when he appeared on TV singing Nessun Dorma, will be seeing for himself how the centre operates and helps people with spinal injuries.
Brian Carlin, chief executive of Aspire, said the charity was delighted to welcome Mr Potts.
“He can envisage what their centre can achieve in terms of integrating disabled and non disabled people, and promoting healthy and independent lifestyles.
"Aspire is excited to see how their project develops as well as looking forward to when building works will begin.”
