Association of Women Against Abuse of Granada(recorded in the Register of Associations under number 2091, Section 1) was born in 1992 in the heart of the city of Granada. This idea arises from the associations need to bridge the concerns of a group of socially committed individuals rather lenient with the passive attitude of looking at the stark and sad reality of gender violence. Our geographic area of activity is concentrated in Granada province and capital, although we are optimistic for the possibility of extending our scope to other provinces, either directly or in collaboration with other similar associations. Our claims are more ambitious than the simple idea of aggregating a group of feminists, because although we still believe in the parameter of "positive discrimination" as long as equality is not achieved, we consider the problem of "Abuse" affects the entire society.
