Green School combines the talent of several and very differently gifted individuals. Its founders, John and Cynthia Hardy, have been residents in Bali for more than 30 years and recognize a unique opportunity to create something truly inspiring and outside of the structural, conceptual, and physical limitations of many traditional schools. Green School's first director, Brad Choyt, is an experienced and talented educator, whose approach to education has provided transformational experiences to students in a variety of inspirational settings around the world. Alan Wagstaff, educational consultant and the author of Green School's curriculum, has been involved in cutting-edge education for more than a quarter of a century. Jürgen Zimmer, special advisor for the Learning Village and a professor at The Free University of Berlin, brings his hands-on educational experience to the School that has helped him develop a global network of schools. Green School serves more than 100 students in Preschool and Kindergarten through Year Eight. Our innovative curriculum combines demanding academic content taught through a holistic approach that aims to inspire and enhance all of a child’s capacities. Our goal is to foster a spirit of inquiry and a love of learning that prepares children to thrive in the challenging, complex 21st-century world. Green School seeks to ignite a passion for learning, inspiring its students to be curious, self-motivated, and enthusiastic participants in their education both on the campus and within a global community. Green School students are exceptionally curious, engaged, and passionate about their education.
