For 150 years, the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee has been building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Through the many programs and services offered at our eleven metropolitan locations and in the community, we help people grow strong in spirit, mind and body. The YMCA builds relationships within families, between neighbors and around the world.

Ways to Volunteer

Program Volunteers
Provide leadership and support to many high quality programs and services enjoyed by the community such as coaching Youth Sports, mentoring middle school or high school students, and assisting with child care programs.

Philanthropy Volunteers
Help to raise the funds to ensure that YMCA programs are open to everyone regardless of economic circumstances.

Special Events Volunteers
Help to plan, promote and run events that strengthen the community.

Advisory Volunteers
Provide leadership in advising us on important issues and overall direction.

Policy Volunteers
Provide leadership to the YMCA. Includes membership on Board of Directors or one of the associated committees.

The YMCA is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We believe that no one should be turned away due to inability to pay. Each year, over 70,000 kids and families participate in the YMCA thanks to the generosity of our donors.
