Tacoma Pierce County Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.With God’s grace and the cooperation of people from all walks of life, Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity partners with families in need to build and own simple, decent, affordable homes in safe communities.

Tacoma/ Pierce County Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Information

Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with families in need. Volunteers are involved in most phases of construction, even though most have no construction experience or building skills. Volunteers work side-by-side with other volunteers, the Habitat crew leader and with the family who will live in the house.
