Wishing Star Foundation Charity Profile
OverviewEstablished in 1983, Wishing Star Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses between the ages of 3 and 21, living in Eastern and Central Washington and Idaho. A child does not need to be terminal to qualify for a wish.
Wishing Star is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are dependent on individual gifts, fundraising, donations, grants and memorials. We are not funded by the government or United Way. Wishing Star is proud to report that only 5% of funds go towards administrative costs.
Besides making the wish experience one of the most memorable times in a child's life, we believe that "once a wish family, always a wish family." We continue to support these families who care for medically fragile children. We provide tickets to fun opportunities knowing that these families struggle emotionally and financially
Wishing Star Foundation Volunteer Information
Behind every child's fulfilled wish is a volunteer whose energy and persistence has made it happen. We are looking for people to meet and build relationships with children with life-threatening illnesses. They will support and nurture wish families; identify a special wish and help develop the wish into an empowering experience.
Wishing Star Foundation Donation Information
Wishing Star is dependent on individual gifts, third party fund-raisers, donations from public service groups, grants, memorials, corporate giving programs and estate planning.
