SOS Rescue Charity Profile
FETCH a Cure is a 501 ©(3) non-profit organization determined to improve the quality of life for pets focused on the issues of pet health, specifically cancer and aging, and the human-animal bond.
Our Mission
Awareness
Through community outreach by way of events, campaigns and fundraisers, FETCH is working to promote the need to help pets live long, healthy lives. FETCH continually works to raise awareness about pet cancer prevention, detection and treatment; senior care and aging issues; and the importance of the human-animal bond.
Education
FETCH a Cure’s comprehensive website is a resource to learn about the risks your pets may be facing, the warning signs for early detection, information for giving your pet the best careas well as a place to connect with other pet owners. FETCH provides printed materials, informational seminars and ongoing educational campaigns to keep pet owners informed.
Treatment
FETCH provides financial aid to families unable to bear the cost of the life-saving treatments for their pets that have been diagnosed with cancer through the Companions in Crisis program. FETCH continues to work towards providing more accessible treatment options for all within our community.
Rescue
Through the Pixie’s Pen Pals program, FETCH is helping rescue dogs and inmates in Virginia correctional centers have a second chance. By working cooperatively and bonding with the animals, the inmates learn responsibility, patience, tolerance and life-long skills and the trained dogs find life-long homes.
FETCH a cure is a from the heart organization founded and run by those who have been faced with cancer and inevitable aging in their own pets. Working on behalf of the pet community to urge pet owners to do as much as they can for as long as they can to give pets long and healthy, happy lives.

SOS Rescue Volunteer Information
The outpouring of love and support from the community is underscored by FETCH’s extraordinary volunteers who help us with just about everything! Our volunteers are truly part of our extended family. They donate their time by manning the FETCH info booth at fundraising events and educational seminars; they donate their talents by decorating pups for our Pets on Parade event; and they commit their voices to the mission by attending memorial walks and any number of other fundraising events that we have. These represent just a fraction of what they do and how they help.
