Virginia Opera Charity Profile
Virginia Opera is thrilled to present a season packed with hit Italian operas in 2008-2009, featuring world-class performances of what are considered to be among the most popular works ever composed by Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini and Rossini. Join us this season at the Edythe C. and Stanley L. Harrison Opera House in Norfolk, the Landmark Theater in Richmond, or George Mason University's Center for the Arts in Fairfax.
Virginia Opera Volunteer Information
All Virginia Opera Volunteers are eligible for tickets to opera dress rehearsal performances during the opera season, based on hours accrued. 10 hours of volunteering earns one (1) dress rehearsal ticket. All active volunteers are invited to a special concert performance at the end of the season.
Virginia Opera Donation Information
Ticket sales make up less than 40% of the necessary dollars to produce our quality performances – donating to our Annual Fund will help support both our mainstage performances and education programs! The Virginia Opera Foundation was established to permanently endow the programs of the Virginia Opera. At any time of the year, gifts may be made to the Foundation in the form of cash, securities, or real estate. Many gifts are made in the form of Tribute or Memorial Gifts. To participate in establishing the future financial security of the Opera, please become a member of this special group of contributors. Your gift to the Foundation today will ensure Virginia Opera's viability for many years to come.
