The Virginia Discovery Museum brings young children and families together to engage minds, excite imaginations and explore the world around them.

Virginia Discovery Museum Volunteer Information

The Museum needs caring and enthusiastic volunteers, ages 15 to 90, to help enrich the lives of children. We depend on over 125 volunteers each year who generously donate their time to help the Museum run smoothly. Weekly volunteers work at the front desk or in the gallery, usually for just two or three hours per week. Other volunteers build exhibits or help with special events.

The Virginia Discovery Museum relies on support from many individuals, businesses, and organizations in order to deliver affordable high quality programming and exhibits to the community. The Museum is a 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
