Challenger Center for Space Science Education Charity Profile
Challenger Center for Space Science Education is an international, not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) education organization that was founded by the families of the astronauts lost during the last flight of the Challenger Space Shuttle in 1986.
Our mission is to use space exploration as a theme, Challenger Center creates positive learning experiences that raise students’ expectations of success; foster a long-term interest in mathematics, science, and technology; and motivate them to pursue careers in these fields.
Challenger Center for Space Science Education Donation Information
Challenger Center for Space Science Education, founded in 1986 by the families of the astronauts of the Challenger 51-L mission, is dedicated to the educational spirit of that mission. Challenger Learning Center programs continue the crew’s mission of engaging teachers and their students in science, mathematics and technology and foster in them an interest to pursue careers in those fields. The support we receive from across the country goes to the national programming efforts of Challenger Center for Space Science Education. Challenger Center offers several methods that allow you to contribute to our mission.
