Virginia Highlands Community College promotes lifelong learning by providing quality, affordable higher education, including workforce training programs, that enable community members to succeed in today’s world.

As a responsible and accountable member of the Virginia Community College System, VHCC offers an effective learning environment, especially for all who live and work within Washington County, the western portion of Smyth County, and the city of Bristol.

Virginia Highlands Community College Volunteer Information

In an effort to make your VHCC years memorable, we work hard to provide fun events that take place outside the classroom. Throughout the year, we organize a variety of campus-wide activities like Campus Craze Dayz, an Appalachian Fall Festival, and a Mocktail Party. Student clubs provide social events and opportunities for volunteer service, and a wide variety of foreign films, educational workshops and lectures, concerts and other cultural activities are provided through the acclaimed Arts Array Series. If you have extra energy, athletic skills and a competitive nature, you also might want to consider intramural flag football, basketball and women’s volleyball. Take time to get involved and make new friends at VHCC!
