United Way of Rutland County Charity Profile
The United Way of Rutland County is pleased to announce that Traci Moore will replace Chuck Sharp as Executive Director. Sharp led the organization for 13 years before stepping down in January.
Moore has had a long career with the Vermont Achievement Center in Rutland , starting with the organization in 1994 as Annual Fund Coordinator and becoming Director of Development in 1996. Moore served as Vice President for Advancement at VAC from 2005 to 2009. Moore was subsequently employed in the Commercial Lines Division of Kinney Pike Insurance before returning to VAC in 2010 to lead the organization’s development efforts.
United Way of Rutland County Board President Marcia Chioffi said “We are pleased to make this announcement and welcome Traci to the United Way team”.
Moore who lives in Rutland City with her husband Scott and two children, Ryan and Kathryn, is active in the community and has been a member of the Rutland City Rotary Club since 2002.
Moore recently began her new role in mid February, “I am looking forward to working with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and member agencies as well as individuals and businesses in the community to ensure continued high quality service and valuable community programs”, said Moore.
The United Way of Rutland County has been partnering to create stronger communities since 1943, promoting and providing assistance to non-profit organizations through a county wide, volunteer fundraising campaign and allocations process.
