The Living Planet Aquarium Charity Profile

The Living Planet Aquarium is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to cultivating public interest in the environment, conservation, and the enhancement of our planet and its creatures through adoption, education, research and recreation.

The Living Planet offers many education programs within the community. The two educational outreach programs, The Utah Waters Van, and the Rainforest Van, visit Utah elementary school students throughout the school year. This year´s programs will educate students and teachers alike by bringing free, core-curriculum designed, hands-on learning to over 51,000 students around the state, including every 4th grader statewide.

The Living Planet Aquarium Volunteer Information

Our volunteers are from all different backgrounds, ages, and professions. As a volunteer at the Living Planet Aquarium, you will support our mission in a variety of ways, including:

*Promoting environmental conservation by informing the public about stewardship for our environment.
*Answering visitors questions about our live animals and animals in the wild.
*Encourage the public to engage in programs at the aquarium.
