Salt Lake County Aging Services Charity Profile

As the largest Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in Utah, Salt Lake County Aging Services is mandated to provide a comprehensive system of services that promote the overall wellbeing of younger, healthier and more active seniors and that support and assist the frail, older adult population to help them remain independent and living in their own homes for as long possible.

There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ older person. Their situations and their lives are very diverse. While many seniors are healthy and active, remaining in the workforce, volunteering in their communities or enjoying their friends and families, others are frail and struggle to remain independent. Regardless of one’s condition, Aging Services can help by providing information and assistance, personal assessments that determine the need and the necessary services and referrals to meet those needs.
