Net Family News Charity Profile
Anne Collier is editor of NetFamilyNews and executive director of its parent, Tech Parenting Group, a nonprofit organization she founded in 1999. Its earlier, pre-'99 iteration, SageNet, was founded by Jenny Ambrozek and Lynne Bundesen in 1997. Their bios and those of NFN's current board members, Jean Armour Polly and Lawrence J. Magid, are here.
NetFamilyNews's companion online forum is ConnectSafely.org, which Anne co-directs with Larry Magid, publisher of SafeKids.com. Tech Parenting Group also works in close association with Netmom.com and Childnet International in the UK. Anne serves on the Advisory Board of GetNetWise.org, a Washington, D.C.-based online-safety public service supported by Internet industry corporations and public service organizations, and the Family Online Safety Institute, based in Washington, D.C., and London. In 1998-'99 NFN was a sponsor of America Links Up, a nationwide Internet education campaign launched during the first National Kids Online Week in September of that year.
