Ymca England Charity Profile
The YMCA is a leading Christian charity committed to supporting all young people, particularly in times of need.
YMCA England supports and represents the work of over 140 YMCAs providing professional and relevant services that make a difference to the lives of young people in over 250 communities.
The YMCA reaches out to over 1 million young people each year, working with them at every stage of their lives and offering support when and where they need it most.
Ymca England Volunteer Information
The YMCA aims to provide everyone - staff, volunteers, young people, users - with opportunities for personal development.
So volunteering at the YMCA is about more than giving time and sharing skills. It gives you the chance to learn about others, build new friendships, develop new skills and confidence.
And for some it's a chance to explore and express Christian faith in action.
Ymca England Donation Information
The YMCA relies on voluntary contributions to continue our work with young people. A donation of:
£15 could pay for one night in a warm, safe emergency room at a YMCA
£25 could pay for a home starter kit for a young person
£40 could pay for a half-day job search workshop to get a young person back into work or training
£100 could help heat a YMCA hostel during the winter
£500 could provide over 30 hours of counselling for traumatised young people
