Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Charity Profile
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the only UK charity focusing on all muscular dystrophies and related muscle diseases. More than 60,000 people in the UK are affected. There are no cures
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign has pioneered the search for treatments and cures for nearly 50 years, and are dedicated to improving the lives of all those people affected. We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to fund our groundbreaking and vital work.
We provide information, advice and support to all those who are affected by a muscle disease. We fund (with some contribution from the NHS) 13 MDC Care Advisors who are based in clinics around the country. They are able give advice and support to children and adults who are affected by muscular dystrophy and related muscle diseases.
Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Volunteer Information
There are lots of ways you can volunteer your time and efforts to help the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign - and as well as helping to raise money or awareness, you can make new friends and develop new skills.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is a diverse charity and we welcome all volunteers. Last year thousands of people gave up their free time to help us in a variety of ways, from running marathons to supporting our campaigns.
