Strathcarron Hospice Charity Profile

Strathcarron Hospice is situated in the very heart of Scotland. From our location at Denny near Stirling we serve Central Scotland communities throughout the NHS Forth Valley area including Stirling, Falkirk, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth, in NHS Lanarkshire - a total of over 1/3rd of a million people. Strathcarron is so much more than a building, it is the hub of timely professional care for patients who have life limiting illness. Our services are free and rely on your donations and support. Strathcarron Hospice provides care for people with life limiting illnesses. Our palliative care team helps hundreds of people each year in our Hospice, in the local community, in hospitals and in other care settings. At Strathcarron we have bright and spacious accommodation that can care for 24 people in our In-Patient unit in a mix of single rooms or 4 and 5 bedded wards. Families can also stay overnight if required and there are comfortable day rooms with views out to the countryside and to the gardens.

Strathcarron Hospice Volunteer Information

Strathcarron relies on a mix of staff and volunteers to provide a wide range of services. Without volunteers we would be unable to give the care needed without significant increases in funding. Volunteers help with everything from making tea to answering phones, admin support, helping in the shops, gardening, driving, repairs, typing or just spending time chatting with patients.
