Who we are Founded in 1966,Alpha Home is a private,non-profit chemical dependency treatment center providing specialized services to the unique needs of women.For four decades,Alpha Home has earned a highly respected reputation in the treatment community,both locally and nationally,for having an established success record in treating chemically dependent women. Why women only?One in four drug abusers is a woman,and chemically dependent women struggle with their diseases in very different ways than men.Alpha Home attributes our remarkably high recovery rate in large part to the fact that we focus on the treatment and recovery of women only.Many women struggling with alcoholism and addiction have a history that includes emotional,physical or sexual abuse.In cases where the addiction coincides with abuse,women often experience complex emotions of guilt and shame.These intensely sensitive clinical issues are best treated in a gender-specific environment.Our goal Our goal is to provide women with an affordable,safe haven where they can identify and overcome the core issues underlying their chemical addictions,regain their independence,and rejoin their communities as healthy,whole women.By incorporating our core values-spirituality,integrity,discipline,dedication,and productivity-into our everyday treatment approach,we focus on the "whole woman"not just the addiction,giving our clients the best chance for responsible recovery and long-term sobriety.

Alpha Home Donation Information

Alpha Home, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, relies on grants and donations from individuals, corporations and philanthropic organizations to keep fees low and to provide treatment scholarships to women in financial need.

An unrestricted gift to Alpha Home helps fund in-patient and outpatient care for the 9-month recovery program that includes recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs, education and training to develop job skills, parenting skills and life skills. Your gift may also be designated for technology, furnishings, appliances, building improvements, and programs, including medical care for clients, the alumnae program, childcare, and education and training.
