Richardson Adult Literacy Center Charity Profile
The Richardson Adult Literacy Center transforms lives by meeting the functional literacy needs of adults in Richardson and the Richardson ISD areas by offering free English as a second language (ESL) instruction to adult learners through volunteer tutors. We are a community-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Richardson Adult Literacy Center Volunteer Information
Volunteer Tutor: Works with adult English language learners in a one-to-one or classroom setting. Time commitment is 2-3 hrs/wk during the school year (following school holidays). Free training is provided. Tutors do not need previous teaching experience or need to speak a language other than English. Tutors need to be English proficient.
Office Volunteer: Works in the RALC office, answering the phone, filing and assisting with other administrative tasks. Time commitment is once a week for a 2 hr or 4 hr shift during the school year (following school holidays).

Donations are gratefully accepted to help us further our mission of transforming lives by meeting the functional literacy needs of adults in Richardson and the Richardson IDS areas through free English as a second language (ESL) instruction.
