CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) speaks for abused and neglected children in Knox, Sevier, Blount, Hamblen, and Jefferson County in Tennessee. Ordinary citizens are trained to work alongside attorneys and social workers to ensure that no child is lost in the system.

CASA of East Tennessee, Inc Volunteer Information

Volunteers work 10 to 15 hours per month interviewing parents, neighbors, teachers, and community people who come into contact with assigned children. Volunteers provide a report to the judge to assist the judge in making decisions on the child's case.
