Hospice of Chattanooga Volunteer Information
All new volunteers attend a 4 hour orientation to become familiar with our services. Those who wish to work directly with patients and families will receive an additional 16 hours of training, which is broken up into 2-3 days. Volunteers may visit patients in assisted livings, nursing homes, or in the patient’s home and/or may provide support in the office at one of our locations, or help with health fairs and special events. Volunteers can provide company, run errands, be a part of our canine/feline services, provide light housekeeping, make follow-up phone calls or assist with bereavement groups, calls, and mailings.
Hospice of Chattanooga Donation Information
Charitable contributions to The Hospice of Chattanooga Foundation are tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law, and are vital to our commitment to provide end-of-life care to all patients based on their healthcare needs without regard to their ability to pay.
