Amnesty International's vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards. Amnesty International undertakes research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights.

Voluntary Participation
Amnesty International is a volunteer organization. There are so many opportunities for AI for the human rights commitment.
Voluntary participation in the Secretariat
Numerous secretarial tasks such as processing orders, address changes, the archiving of newspapers and photographs, or the dispatch of Urgent Actions to be a substantial part done by volunteers: approximately 3000 hours.
Since many of these works a certain amount of training time, for instance, we look forward particularly on people who are regularly at least one half day per week over a longer time in our secretariat committed. Uncommon (Human Rights Day on December 10, Gross actions), we are also happy about shorter-term bets.
Involvement in an AI group
As a member of a local group or a group of subjects you have the opportunity to get together with other activists for human rights.
Commitment as a country experts
