Swedish Demeter Association was founded in 1957 and is the control body for organic farming in Sweden.

As a non-profit consumer control and authorize Demeter Association of crops, livestock, processing, slaughterhouses, wholesalers, importers and grocery stores.

Demeter mark means that the product contains at least 90% organic and at least 95% organically grown ingredients.In time-limited, exceptional cases, the percentage of organic material to be reduced to at least 2 / 3 parts.At least 95% must, even in cases where such a dispensation consist of organically grown raw materials.
