Centre for Global Gender Studies CGGS Charity Profile

CGGS provide a creative environment for gender researchers and PhD students, to establish and maintain a database of gender experts, to make visible the existing Swedish competence in this field and encourage the growth of this competence. Furthermore, the centre should develop and strengthen contacts with gender researchers in the Global South through guest lecturing and invitation of guest researchers. The centre should thus aim at becoming a centre for research and knowledge rather than a centre for basic academic education.
