Swedish Urban Network Association Charity Profile

The Swedish Urban Network Association (Svenska Stadsnätsföreningen), SSNf,is a non-profit-making trade association for network owners who are actively engaged in the development of a broadband infrastructure. The Association was established in 1998 and soon attracted about a hundred members.

The SSNf shares the view that the existence of a well-dimensioned fibre optic network for telecommunications and data communications is of critical significance to Sweden’s competitiveness and its potential for economic growth. That is why the members of the SSNf will continue to develop Sweden’s broadband infrastructure in association with one another.

The SSNf, which is one of the most important players on today’s market, has also initiated cooperation with the other Nordic countries. The intention is to facilitate the exchange of experiences and cross-border cooperation on various levels.
