York County GAL Program Charity Profile

129 York County volunteers were serving as advocates for 387 abused or neglected children as of December 31, 2008. Our volunteers are ordinary people who want to make a difference for an abused child.

York County GAL Program Volunteer Information

No special skills are needed, just compassion, caring and common sense. You must have a sincere desire to help children, and be willing to make a commitment of 4-6 hours per month. You will be required to pass background and reference checks.
