The First Tee of Myrtle Beach Charity Profile

In the spring of 2004, we were confronted with the realization that Myrtle Beach, the Golf Capital of the World was not home to a chapter of the greatest youth development program in the world, The First Tee.Working with SharedCare, a local non-profit organization that provides access to health care for the Horry County uninsured population, we created a prevention mechanism to help area children build strong life skills and character development to become successful adults with careers that provided them with benefits such as health insurance.Our goal is to impact the children of Horry County with fun engaging activities related to life and golf skills, provide them with the knowledge necessary to set and achieve their goals, and introduce them to potential scholarship opportunities for college and beyond.

The First Tee of Myrtle Beach Volunteer Information

The First Tee of Myrtle Beach is always grateful to anyone who would like to volunteer their time. We welcome people who can help in all areas, including Life Skills/Golf Skills, Mentors, Assistant Coaches, Walking Scorers/ Mentors to walk with groups during Par and Birdie League Play days, Administrative Assistance (many various opportunities). We are proud to be working with StepUP! community volunteer network for new volunteer opportunities.
