Tsenang Homes of Safety Charity Profile
Tsenang Homes of Safety is a registered Section 21 Company and NPO (Reg nr. 071-210), PBO 93/00/24/811 , an organisation not for gain that provides substitute (safety) care for babies and children in crisis in stable, loving family environments. We are totally dependant on donations and sponsorships to keep our doors open, our children fed and our administration running. We have also reached out to other community organisations, schools, hospitals and projects by distributing donations to them.
Sponsorship and donations are tax deductible in terms of section 18A of The Income Tax Act, 1962. The donations received will be used exclusively for the object(s) of conducting public benefit activities of Tsenang Homes of Safety and BBBEE points can be scored for contributions
Tsenang Homes of Safety acts as the central registering body for safety parents and homes with the Children’s court.
Our mission is to offer support to our safety parents on an emotional level as well as on a physical level where we give medical assistance, donations and sponsorships.
We supply our safety parents with medication, formula milk, clothing, baby equipment, educational toys and disposable nappies. We arrange for private doctors to see our children and for hospitals to admit our seriously ill children at a reduced rate. We also arrange for HIV blood tests to be done, doctor’s appointments, and medication free of charge or at reduced rates. Remember these children arrive severely neglected and in need of medical care and treatment and are not on medical aids.
