Joint Aid Management JAM International Charity Profile
Joint Aid Management (JAM) is a South African founded non-profit, Christian humanitarian relief and development organisation with 30 years experience in sustainable development.
JAM's programmes focus on nutritional feeding (at schools and in impoverished communities), assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, water and sanitation, and agricultural development. These programmes are mainly found in South Africa, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Angola, with an orphanage in Rwanda that was established in 1998 to look after orhpaned and displaced children.
At JAM, we believe that without education there can be no development and effective education is only attained through adequate nutrition, which is why we have such a large school feeding presence. In 2012, JAM reached its goal to feed 1,1 million beneficiaries through the Nutritional Feeding programme; a huge step towards attaining our goal of Helping Africa Help Itself.
The main catalyst for development is that JAM strongly believes in empowering communities in order to allow them to grow. Through the Complete Community Development Approach (CCDA), we believe that we are able to see more communities becoming self-sufficient.
