National Youth Development Outreach YDO Charity Profile

For the past 14 years, since 1990, NYDO has worked unceasingly to influence the Eersterust and surrounding communities to become a positive role model for other communities across South Africa that are in a similar socio-economic position to themselves. Today, YDO can boast of endless success stories through its prevention and rehabilitation programmes.The Life Centre Project is based on the premise that the most profound socialization influence in a child’s life is the family unit and hence the project aims to prevent families from disintegrating and thus becoming dysfunctional. We regard the family as the place where children are prepared psychologically and socialized in order to understand what society expects of them as members of the community
