AFS Intercultural, Slovakia Charity Profile
AFS is an international, non-governmental, non-political organization, which allows intercultural education to help people develop skills, knowledge and acquire the attitudes necessary for creative and harmonious life in today's multicultural world. AFS enables people to act and behave as responsible cosmopolitans who promote peace and understanding in today's world manifold. It understands that peace is a dynamic process, which is threatened by lawlessness, injustice and intolerance. AFS seeks to confirm the eligibility of faith in the dignity and unique value of every human being as well as all peoples and cultures. It calls for respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without distinction of race, sex, language, religion, or social status, AFS of its activity based on the values that are most important to it - human dignity, respect for differences, harmony, mutual tolerance and sensitivity .
AFS Intercultural, Slovakia Volunteer Information
Each year many volunteers in Slovakia sacrificed their time and energy to assist the operation of AFS.
They are both young and elderly men and women, students and teachers, workers and pensioners.
When you become AFS volunteers:
