Following the collapse of communism, one of the main threats to democracy and development in Central and Eastern Europe, including Romania, was the rebirth nationalism, exploited - in search of legitimacy - the former communist leaders.Transylvania region, with a wide variety ethnic, linguistic and religious were among the most vulnerable, having the potential for increased instability and tension.Consistently in the mission of the PRO EUROPA League has been to contribute through a variety of programs and projects, including in its local communities, associations of ethnic communities, authorities, opinion leaders, politicians, to reduce tensions between different ethnic groups and religious and nationalist movements in the neutralization in Transylvania, by rebuilding confidence, solidarity and mutual understanding between different communities.
