FINCA Perú Exports is committed to fighting poverty by empowering our artisans to thrive at what they do best: create art.

Our mission is to provide our artisans with the tools necessary to overcome their poverty. FINCA Perú Exports is committed to fighting poverty with art by offering our artisans access to Fair Trade markets, training, support, and a fair price for their work.

FPX was founded in 2006 in the vision of its parent micro-finance organization, FINCA Perú. As a non-profit bank FINCA Perú provides loans and financial education to facilitate small business ownership among economically and socially disadvanted women. FINCA promotes the development of the entrepreneurial spirit, the strengthening of social discipline, and the practice of values such as equity, solidarity, respect and responsibility.

Our volunteers range from current college students to professionals looking for a refreshing outlook on their career. Spanish speakers with skills in marketing and business development who have a strong desire to alleviate poverty are perfect for the position. While we are unable to provide financial support for volunteers, Ayacucho is an exceptionally affordable town and provides volunteers with the priceless opportunity to integrate into Andean culture.
