The Centre County Community Foundation welcomes requests for funding from our discretionary funds as part of its mission to promote the betterment of Centre County and enhance the quality of life for all its residents.
As a community foundation, the Centre County Community Foundation does not limit its discretionary grant-making to a particular field or area of interest. Rather, it seeks to support projects which have direct relevance to the most pressing problems and needs in our geographic area of interest…. Centre County.
The Foundation follows these principles when awarding discretionary grants:
The Centre County Community Foundation awards grants to not-for-profit organizations that provide services within Centre County in the areas of the arts, education, the environment and health and social services.
Grants are made only to tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
The Foundation gives priority to projects and programs which have been planned in light of overall community needs, which do not duplicate existing service, and which will help those who are not being adequately served by existing community resources.
The Foundation seeks to meet the needs of the community rather than the needs of an individual organization.
Grants are made to support programs serving all persons, regardless of race, religion or creed.
