Erie County CASA, Inc. Charity Profile

Erie County CASA utilizes specially trained volunteers to determine the best interests of the child and to ensure that each child is placed in a safe, permanent, and nurturing home. CASA volunteers are assigned to children who have been placed in foster care or a residential treatment center due to abuse and/or neglect. CASA volunteers work with the child from the time they enter placement until they are in a permanent home. Throughout their involvement, the CASA volunteer acts as an advocates for the needs of the child. Their main responsibility is to ensure that the Juvenile Court Judge has all of the information he/she needs in order to make the difficult decisions regarding the child.
