Hugh Moore Historical Park And Museums Charity Profile
While visiting the park you will see locks and other canal structures, 19th century industrial ruins, as well as the park's centerpiece, the Josiah White II (as pictured above). Take a voyage on the Josiah White II and listen while a costumed crew gives you an oral history of regional canals. It's a memorable trip through history for all ages!

There are many volunteer opportunities at the National Canal Museum and Hugh Moore Park.
MAILINGS - Stuff envelopes and affix mailing labels for the newsletter, fundraising, education and other mailings.
EDUCATION PROGRAMS - Assist with Immersion Days, Symposium, canal boat operations, Family Day, Locktender's House tours, Gingerbread Festival and changing exhibits.
ARCHIVES - Help sort and catalog photographs, slides and artifacts.
NATIONAL CANAL MUSEUM - Assist with interpreting the exhibits to school groups and general visitors.
EMRICK TECHNOLOGY CENTER - Interpret industrial exhibits to school groups and general visitors.
CANAL BOAT STORE - Help with sales and rentals (especially in May and September).
PARK MAINTENANCE - Assist the park rangers in maintenance of the park and its facilities or participate in canal restoration during Muddigger's Day.
